Hey, I’ve been out of commission for a while due to some family health issues, but I’ve been keeping my eye on some stuff.

zombiehuntersFirst up is a project dear to my heart. The Zombie Hunters is easily one of the best zombie webcomics out there, period. It may be a bit slow to update (only two pages a week) but the art is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and the plot is engaging. I might be in a minority, but I enjoy this comic at least as much, if not more, than I do The Walking Dead comics. Feel free to disagree with me, but go read this comic first.

Anyways, they’re crowdfunding the publication of the second volume of comics, something I have been waiting for for quite some time. They’re already more than halfway there, but I want to see some stretch goals reached, dangnabit! Go and give these people your money!

zombabiezNext is an adorable little costume for babies. Why dress your kids up in those silly costumes you see in the JCPenny catalog, when you can get them an awesome hand-made costume that turns them in to a zombie? (A legless crawler no, less.) For some reason my wife doesn’t find it as adorable as I do and she won’t let me help fund it. Hopefully some of you will have better luck.

xperienceNext we have the “zombieXperience“. It Appears to be one of those live action zombie game that you young kids are into these days. The campaign page doesn’t have a lot of concrete information, but it sounds like if you’re in the UK and looking for a zombie LARP to participate in, then it would probably be worth supporting. If you’re an American, remember that this campaign is in pounds, so there’s an exchange rate to be aware of.

pinups Next is Zom-B-girls. It’s a deck of cards with pinup girls. Who are also zombies. Yeah, to be entirely honest I’ve never gotten the appeal of trying to make zombies sexy. It seems a bit too close to necrophilia for my tastes. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy beautiful women as much as the next red-blooded heterosexual male, but once they’re dead, they kinda lose the appeal to me. Not that I’m judging anyone else for being into that sort of thing, I’m just sayin’. If you think you would be into a deck of playing cards with pinup zombies (and apparently there are even some male zombie pinups, for those who prefer the masculine form) then give it a look and see if it’d be something you’re into. Funding for this campaign has been canceled.

pic893973Finally we have Zombie War. This is something I’ve mentioned before. The publisher, Lock ‘n Load, used to do a certain kind of pre-order process, (P500, I think it was called) but they’ve recently gone to the more recent crowdfunding trend of a “timed, all-or-nothing” campaign, and it’s on their own system, it looks like. The confusing thing is that I haven’t seen much, if any, news about this from LNL. So I figured since I think they’re a good company and I want to see this game come out I’d better help them out. I’ve read that if you already paid for this game under the P500 system the order should have rolled over. However you might want to check the status of your order, just to make sure.
