I haven’t had a chance to check out Infected by James Schannep, but I plan on remedying that soon. Schannep’s book is set up like a Choose Your Own Adventure and that alone calls out to my inner child, who fondly remembers making life and death decisions in dungeons and space stations. Infected claims to have 3 unique story lines with over 50 different endings based upon your choices, which would add a wonderful degree of re-readability to the book.
And seriously, who doesn’t remember loving those books and so what if you kept your finger on the page just in case your choice ended up with you as dragon food? I can say with a certain degree of confidence that I read the majority of the Choose Your Own Adventure series, but I can’t recall any that had zombies.
