Well, coming this summer from AEG is a little card game called Card of the Dead. If that name sounds a little awkward to you, it’s probably because the game was originally in Japanese and over there they tend to use English a lot without knowing fully what sounds natural. I haven’t had the chance to play this one, but from what I’ve seen of it, it looks like a more complex version of “Zombie! Run For Your Lives.” I don’t have a more solid date than “This summer”, but we’ll try and let you know when it comes out. Hopefully we’ll even have a review ready.

Can you outrun a zombie? You don’t have to, just outrun your friends! And trip them if need be… Card of the Dead by Motohiro Nakamura features fast and fun game play with great illustrations by Loic Billiau. You can play cards for movement, to attempt to run, or you can whip out a baseball bat or chainsaw and try to deal with the zombie problem directly. Just beware of dead-end alleys, they are aptly-named!
