The Harlem Shake is Dead…
I’m sure most of you have seen some version of the Harlem Shake video, but how about a zombie one? Sure, I mean why not? There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of these viral videos clogging up the lower sewer pipes of the web and with pseudo-culutrally minded reports on the news blasting this latest viral craze you knew it was only a matter of time before zombies showed up.
So let’s get down to what’s great about this Harlem Shake video. Well for one, it’s short, coming in at only thirty-five seconds. Because honestly, there’s only so long that I can stomach a skinny hipster in a motorcycle helmet and a chicken costume spastically shake his junk. And two, it’s got zombies. Admittedly something with zombies is going to win some points with me no matter what, but these ones are actually pretty good for such a short production. Furthermore, I’d rather see the Harlem Shake preformed in a boarded up, zombie infested house as opposed to a dorm room or office.
So now that there’s officially a zombie version of this viral video craze, can we please accept the fact that the Harlem Shake is dead?
