So, if you couldn’t tell, we really like Kickstarter around here. But while most zombie-related Kickstarter projects revolve around movies or games, Zombie-Based Learning is a bit unique. A social studies teacher is coming up with new way to get kids engaged in learning. As anyone who’s been through public school knows, that’s a lot easier said than done. However, I think he’s on to something here. Seriously, I’ve been a substitute teacher, and I can say that most kids would pay a lot more attention if most subjects were taught in the context of the zombie apocalypse. And best of all, he plans on eventually releasing all of the lesson plans and materials to anyone who wants them, for free! This is a noble goal, and I hope he succeeds.
