How do you want to go out when the shit hits the fan? The short film Salty Dogs tells the story of a man’s fight to the end during a zombie apocalypse somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. It starts off slow, presumably to get you to care about the characters, but It’s packed with guns, action and quality zombies. Ghost Bandit Films gets points for making an attempt to develop characters, but this short is really going to appeal to those who like more zombies and less talk. The special effects are great — in fact, amazing, considering the film had a $0 budget (Ghost bandit is a few guys who work in VFX by day, so that explains it). I jumped more than once. Worth ten minutes (about 8 minutes plus the gory credits featuring the song “Digging Grave” by Scissorfight.
Faced with certain death, this hero has one goal in mind… to leave a wake of blood and bullet casings on his way to Valhalla.
